Product description

The EXT 1270 Titan Pellet is an industrial large-format 3D printer that has been specially developed for the production of large, functional prototypes and final components. With a generous build volume of 1270 × 1270 × 1829 mm, it is ideal for applications in the aerospace, automotive, foundry and other industries. The pellet extrusion technology not only enables a significant reduction in material costs through the use of thermoplastic pellets, but also a printing speed that is up to ten times faster than conventional filament extrusion.

The EXT 1270 Titan Pellet supports a wide range of materials, including high-performance thermoplastics such as CF-PEI, GF-PEKK and GF-PC as well as flexible elastomers and fibre-reinforced plastics. This provides flexibility in selecting the appropriate material for specific applications. With its robust steel frame construction and actively heated industrial housing, the EXT 1270 is designed for use in demanding production environments. The optional CNC milling functionality enables precise post-processing of the printed parts, which shortens production times and improves the quality of the end products.

Built for production

Designed specifically for production additive manufacturing, the EXT 1270 Titan Pellet is capable of producing high performance functional parts in industries such as foundry, automotive, aerospace and defence and consumer goods. Equipped with a welded steel frame and an industrial, actively heated housing, the EXT 1270 is ready for production and can be upgraded with a second pellet extruder, filament printing function and/or CNC milling function either at the time of purchase or at a later date. Whether you need full-size models, moulds, tools, jigs, fixtures, production aids, end-use parts or prototypes, the EXT 1270 is a proven production solution.

Utilise the efficiency of pellet extrusion

The EXT 1270 has proven itself in a wide variety of pellet materials ranging from raw materials to high temperature, high performance materials such as CF-PEI, GF-PEKK, polyamide and polycarbonate. Pellet extrusion also enables the use of highly flexible elastomers and materials with high glass and carbon content that are difficult or impossible to print from filaments, all while reducing material costs by a factor of 10 and increasing material deposition by a factor of 10.

Hybrid production on the EXT 1270

The EXT 1270 Titan Pellet features our proven pellet extrusion system. It can be equipped with additional die heads on the same gantry, such as a filament extruder or a second pellet extruder, enabling high-speed printing with multiple materials. With the optional CNC spindle tool head, the EXT 1270 enables true hybrid production and allows 3D printed parts to be processed both during and after the printing process. With the EXT 1270, you can experience next-level additive manufacturing that shortens cycle times and produces seamless, precise 3D printed parts for end use.
