Product description

The EXT 800 Titan Pellet is an industrial 3D printer that offers the benefits of pellet extrusion technology in a compact format. With a build volume of 800 x 600 x 800 mm, it is ideal for the production of functional prototypes, moulds, fixtures and final components in industries such as aerospace, automotive, prosthetics and research. Thanks to the use of cost-effective thermoplastic pellets instead of filaments, material costs can be significantly reduced. In addition, the pellet extrusion technology enables a significantly higher printing speed, which shortens production times and increases efficiency.

The EXT 800 Titan Pellet supports a wide range of materials, including high-performance thermoplastics such as ABS, PC, PEI and PEKK as well as fibre-reinforced plastics. This provides flexibility in selecting the appropriate material for specific applications. With its space-saving design, the EXT 800 Titan Pellet can be easily integrated into existing production environments without the need for major investment. This makes it an attractive solution for companies that want to expand their production capacities without having to provide extensive resources.

Reliable and repeatable industrial production

The EXT 800 Titan Pellet utilises the speed, reliability and efficiency of 3D Systems' pellet extrusion printing technology for companies that do not require the build capacity of our larger EXT Titan Pellet systems. The EXT 800 can meet the challenges of demanding industrial production, from foundry patterns and manufacturing jigs to prosthetics and durable goods. With a welded frame, industrial CNC control, servo-driven ball screws on all axes and an actively heated, enclosed build chamber, the EXT 800 is made for reliable, unattended additive manufacturing. The large touchscreen HMI provides easy access to printer functions, while safety features such as door interlocks and material monitoring ensure safe operation.

Utilise the efficiency of pellet extrusion

Like our larger EXT Titan pellet systems, the EXT 800 features our proven high-throughput pellet extruder, enabling high print speeds with a wide range of cost-effective thermoplastic pellets, including ABS, ASA, PETG and PLA. With a print bed that can be heated up to 140°C and a chamber that can be actively heated up to 80°C, the EXT 800 can print a range of engineering materials including carbon fibre filled PA, PC, PEI and PEKK. Pellet extrusion also enables the printing of highly flexible and elastic materials, including TPE as soft as Shore 26A.

Developed for high-throughput additive manufacturing

3D Systems' pellet extrusion technology, sometimes referred to as Fused Granulate Fabrication (FGF), is similar to Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF/FDM) processes, where the extrusion tool head melts thermoplastic feedstock and deposits the molten material layer by layer to build an object. However, pellet extrusion from 3D Systems enables a much higher throughput and at the same time saves considerable costs compared to filament-based printers.

Ultra-fast and affordable

Discover the advantages of EXT Titan pellet systems

The EXT Titan Pellet 3D printers utilise pellet extrusion technology to make the 3D printing process more efficient and cost-effective. By using thermoplastic pellets instead of filaments, material costs can be significantly reduced. The printers offer high print speeds and support a wide range of materials, including high-performance thermoplastics and fibre-reinforced plastics. With a generous build volume, they are ideal for producing large, functional prototypes and final components in a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive and manufacturing.
